The Red Devils Set to Sign Germany Forward Lea Schüller away from the Bavarian Giants
Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific German forward Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Acquisition for the WSL Side
Schüller, who has half a year remaining on her contract, is known as a consistent goal-getter for both club and country. She has scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival is viewed as a marquee coup for the Women’s Super League team.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated after she appeared to be fighting back tears while applauding the club's supporters after a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its top forwards. Per multiple sources, the formalities for the move have now been completed.
Consistent Goalscoring to Strengthen United's Attack
The 28-year-old’s arrival is expected to provide a significant boost to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably consistent in front of goal in Germany’s top flight.
- For seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
- She claimed the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.

Securing the German international comes at a time when the club appear to be building momentum.
