The debutant Challenged against the opposition's main danger through their forward. Played in a central role to begin with but moved wider after a teammate was introduced. Seven

John Stones Pushed forward when in possession, something he's known for before. Sometimes lacked urgency on the ball and the approach was shelved at half-time. 6/10

Dan Burn A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, as always, but may be an alternative for Stones at the back instead of alongside him. A loose ball after the break nearly resulted in a goal for Albania. Six

The young full-back One more composed performance from the rising star following his debut against Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on full advantage of a gorgeous backheel over the Albania defence. His position is firmly his so soon. 7

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning with the national team. Slightly careless in possession but his dangerous deliveries posed a danger. An effective tempo-setter for the manager to call upon versus defensive opponents. Booked for a poorly timed tackle. Six

Declan Rice Crosses from dead balls and free-kicks caused problems. Enjoyed freedom to roam on the left only to be offside when the ball arrived in front of goal. Granted a deserved substitution around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Functioned in an advanced role out wide and did plenty of the hard yards. Demonstrated flashes of quality and dragged an effort wide. Substituted in the closing stages by Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. 7

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's best chance before halftime, his effort well saved by the Albanian keeper. With a teammate staying deep, he had to stretch the play on the right yet his deliveries into the box were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. The first a trademark poacher’s finish while the second a superb headed goal after peeling away off his defender. Now 32, his form is unwavering and England are strong contenders in future competitions with him leading the line. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham yet the keeper kept it out. His replacement had a greater an impact after coming on. 5/10
